Distinction Doors’ CEO Andrew Fowlds and Chairman Drew Wright recently attended a conference and awards dinner at Sir Richard Branson’s family home in Oxfordshire to celebrate The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league, on which Distinction Doors was included. Andrew Fowlds said, “It was a great achievement to be named in the Fast Track 100 and the event was a fantastic way to celebrate.”

Distinction Doors was named in the The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 at the end of last year. The annual list, now in its 18th year, ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing sales over three years. Distinction’s inclusion in the list comes after a 48% sales increase in the timescale and it’s a trend that shows no sign of slowing down. It has recently expanded overseas and sent its first order to India last Autumn. Considerable investment has also been made the company’s infrastructure, including the opening of a brand new paint plant, in order to continue to deliver strong customer service.

The conference featured speakers Charles Rolls, co-founder and executive deputy chairman of Fever-Tree, and Gareth Williams, co-founder and chief executive of Skyscanner. Dominic O’Connell, business editor of The Sunday Times, interviewed panellists Edwina Dunn, co-founder of dunnhumby and CEO of Starcount, Rowan Gormley, founder of Naked Wines and now CEO of Majestic Wine, and William Reeve, co-founder of LOVEFiLM.com and chairman of Graze.com

The afternoon concluded with an hour’s Q&A session led by Sir Richard Branson.

The awards dinner in the evening honoured all companies on the latest league table, who each received an award certificate.

Andrew says, “The event was a memorable experience. It was very insightful being able to hear the thoughts and experiences of the conference speakers and it was a valuable opportunity to network with other successful businesses.”

He concludes, “We still have ambitious plans for growth and have every intention of building on the successes of the previous years.”
