Glasswire 9 October 09 Omega find success with Distinction Doors
Leading trade fabricator the Omega Group has cemented their position as a major force in the composite door market by joining forces with Distinction
Door Solutions, Europe’s largest supplier of composite door blanks.
Distinction now supplies Omega with the world renowned Nan Ya blank
and cassette, which the Peterborough based fabricator uses to manufacture their high performance British Security Composite Door. The door has a GRP
skin available in 7 colours and wide choice of glazing options. It also has low threshold and PAS 23/24 hardware as standard.
“We have
been extremely impressed with the quality of the blank supplied by Distinction” comments Omega MD Rob Morley. “It has both great
aesthetic qualities and high performance, helping establish the British Security Door as one of the leading composites on the market.”
Omega operates from a 45,000 sq ft factory in Peterborough and their dedicated composite production line has been kept busy with a high volume
of orders of orders from their trade customers. This high demand has been helped by Distinction, who has over 30,000 door blanks and 100,000 glazing
cassettes in stock at any one time.
“In the last two months, we have received orders of up to 50 composite doors a day from
installers” comments Rob Morley. “Distinction’s high stock level, regular deliveries and outstanding customer service means we can
fulfil these large orders, giving our composite door division a solid platform for growth.”
