Having introduced the Andaman range of hand crafted triple glazed units during 2008, Distinction Door Solutions is now building on the popularity of this glass range by adding three new designs for all 13 of the Nan Ya cassette styles which they hold in stock. The triple glazed unit has always been popular in the United States and has been fitted to millions of Nan Ya composite doors over the past decade.

With the ever growing popularity of the GRP composite door within the UK, it’s no surprise that the migration of triple glazing is now here to stay. Double glazed units offering coloured glass have, traditionally, been used to add interest to a white uPVC door.

With the advent of the pre-pigmented coloured GRP composite doors, the need to provide colour has largely gone. Attractive designs utilising clear glass bevels and individually cut textured glass pieces, set within zinc or brass cames, provides a classic and good looking unit that complements the coloured door. Drew Wright, Managing Director of Distinction Door Solutions, has long been an advocate of the triple glazed unit having seen both the Nan Ya products, and triple glazed units develop quickly together within the USA.   “The decorative triple glazed unit has distinct advantages over the double glazed version, with the decorative panel of bevels, glass pieces and cames encapsulated within toughened safety glass.  Quite simply, it is easier to clean….no dust nor dirt can gather on the decorative elements nor can the caming oxidise or discolour.  A simple wipe over the smooth glass front and back panes keeps the unit clean and attractive.”
