Distinction Doors has taken a leap forward with its waste management that it claims ‘goes far beyond the traditional method of simply separating out the recyclable materials to reduce the amount of waste usually sent to landfill’. The industry’s largest supplier of Nan Ya door blanks to the UK composite door industry has partnered with recycling and waste management company, Veolia Environmental Services, to take away all of its ‘residual’ waste – material that cannot be recycled any other way – and use it to heat homes and commercial and public buildings in Sheffield.

DISTINCTION DOORS ACQUIRES EVERGREEN DOORS TO BECOME CLEAR MARKET LEADER OF UK COMPOSITE DOOR SECTOR
/ Category: General / Views: 2140

Distinction Doors Ltd has unequivocally confirmed its position as the UK market leader of the composite door market with the acquisition of Evergreen Doors Ltd from the Epwin Group.

Now the sole supplier of Nan Ya GRP door blanks in the UK, by far the highest selling composite door blank in the British market, Barnsley-based Distinction Doors has acquired the business and assets of Evergreen Doors Ltd from Epwin Group for an undisclosed sum.

Drew Wright, Managing Director of Distinction Doors, said: "The acquisition of Evergreen, the only other UK distributor of Nan Ya GRP door blanks and glazing cassettes, is a natural fit for Distinction and cements our status as the largest distributor of composite door blanks and supplier of prepped blanks to the British market."  Distinction has grown its business organically over the past six years to achieve market leading status. It has widened the scope of the company’s activities from being a warehousing and distribution operation, to include a rapidly growing sizing, edge-banding and routing service together with the supply of components, including triple glazed decorative glass, locks, handles, letterplates and hinges. By adding Evergreen to its portfolio, Distinction’s share of the composite door market in the UK now exceeds 40%*, with annual sales of more than £20 million.
